The weather was much better today, the sun was out and there was no wind, so our next stop was Central Park. I don't think I've ever seen that many people in Central Park before in all my visits here. It was Memorial Day today, and all of New York had come out to sunbake and hang out in the park. We walked for miles, until our feet were so sore we couldn't walk anymore - by this stage it was 3pm! We ended up back at FAO Schwarz on 5th Avenue, where we made our own Muppet!! After we had chosen all his parts, we then had to wait around for an hour for him to be made up. We were too tired to really walk any further, so we stuck in the general vicinity of the toy store. After we picked him up, we headed back to the hotel for a bit of a rest before dinner.
Wade and I are big fan's of the TV show, How I Met Your Mother - so tonight we went for dinner at McGees. This is the Irish Pub that McLarens from the show is modeled off. Dinner was pretty good, and the pub had a nice atmosphere. After dinner we wandered back down to Times Square to look through the shops for the last time. It was much less busy tonight that it has been over the last few days which was nice.
Tomorrow we are off to Vegas!
Here are some photos from today.
