10th May - Orlando (Universal & Sea World)

This morning it was back to Universal. First stop was Islands of Adventure and back to Harry Potter to finish off the few rides we didn't get to yesterday. Thankfully both had no more than a 10 minute wait and we even went back on Dragon Challenge for a second time. We also tested out one of the Harry Potter Butterbeer drinks, and it was surprisingly good (although too sweet to finish off). After this, we wandered around the park a bit and took a few videos and photos, before Wade went on the Spiderman ride. We then headed back across to the Universal Studios park to go on the Despicable Me 3D simulation ride, which was the only one we had missed from the day before. We had to wait around 30 minutes for this ride, which was the longest we have waited so far. It was a really hot day today too (over 30) so that was long enough to wait in a line! We were going to do a couple of the roller coasters again but the park was really busy today, because there were masses of school kids there!! Both parks also closed early today, for graduation parties - so we were glad that we got most of the rides done yesterday. There is a new Transformers ride opening in the summer, so we just missed out on this, but they have a few life size interactive characters that they bring out at different times, and we managed to be there when they Megatron came out.

We were pretty much done at both parks at this stage, so decided to go back to the hotel, grab the car and head to Seaworld. We arrived around 1.30 and just in time for the killer whale show (featuring Shamu). We are so glad we decided to come here, because seeing the whales in action was an amazing experience - worth going to Seaworld even if we did nothing else. Which was lucky, because the next attraction we went on was terrible!! We spent a few hours here, before heading back to the hotel, to freshen up, before heading back to Universal CityWalk for dinner at Nascar Bar & Grille. Back at the hotel for an early-ish night, because we have to get up early tomorrow to go to Discovery Cove.
