15th May - Orlando (Busch Gardens & Disney World)

Today we took a drive, about an hour away, to Tampa to go to Busch Gardens.  This is yet another theme park, but has the best of both worlds - a bunch of roller coasters (for Wade) and heaps of animals (for me)!!  One of the extras you can do here, is a Serengeti Safari, which includes feeding the giraffes.  It also includes a drive around the reserve so you can see a bunch of other animals, including zebras, rhinos, ostrich, antelopes and more.  Giraffes would have to be one of my favourite animals so feeding them was an amazing experience!!  They definitely weren't shy and had no regard for where you were - there were a few giraffe sandwich moments and lots of ducking under their necks!!  They definitely loved the lettuce we fed them, and often the one you were trying to feed wasn't the one that got it, because another neck would come up behind you :-)  We are so glad we were able to experience this here.

Once our tour was over, we walked through the different areas so Wade could go on all the roller coasters that were here.  I was a bit roller coaster'd out, so I ended up just doing the newest one they have here - Cheetah run.  At the same time, wandering around the park, we saw the rest of the animals they have, including elephants, lions, hyenas, tortoises, kangaroos etc.

Tonight it was back to Epcot to do the last of our rides - Test Track, and see the fireworks.

Here are some photos from today:
